Windows and Mac OS Update Feb 2023

Beginning Monday, February 27th at 6 p.m., the Windows 22H2 upgrade will begin rolling out to all University workstations and laptops, other than labs. This process is automated, and the update will be downloaded and installed in the background. To ensure the best experience, please plan on leaving devices powered on. Once completed, users will be prompted to log out or restart their device if it is being used. Most devices will complete this process during non-working hours. Also, any devices eligible for Windows 11 will be upgraded from Windows 10 as part of this process. Please note that this upgrade may take up to 1 hour to complete.

All University Apple workstations and laptops that are eligible will also begin the upgrade process to Mac OS Ventura on Monday, February 27th at 6 p.m. Users will be prompted and can defer the upgrade for up to 5 days. After 5 days, the upgrade will be a forced installation on both PC and Mac.
