This fall, UNC Charlotte will begin replacing Perceptive Content with Softdocs (Etrieve). This update makes campus workflows simpler, fully digital, and more accessible.
The migration will happen in five phases with the first phase being Finance. This includes financial-related documents, FTR and SEA forms. This phase will take place Fri., Sept. 4, 3:00 p.m. – Thurs., Sept. 10, 11:59 p.m.
Key Timeline Dates for Phase 1 Finance
To move records safely, finance processing will temporarily pause:
- Thurs., Sept. 3, 2026 (5:00 p.m.): Last chance to submit new Finance forms in Perceptive Content. Users who need to enter FTRs for August month-end close should submit a TDX ticket.
- Fri., Sept. 4 (3:00 p.m.) – Thurs., Sept. 10, 2026 (11:59 p.m.): Full processing freeze for all Finance items.
- Friday, Sept. 11, 2026: Softdocs goes live! Start using Softdocs for all new Finance submissions.
What You Need to Know After the Migration on Sept. 11
Perceptive Content will stay open only to finish existing approvals. Do not start new forms in Perceptive Content after Sept. 3, or you will have to re-enter them in Softdocs.
Training & Support
General Forms training will also be available to the campus community on the following dates:
- Thursday, September 3, 2026, 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. [Register]
- Wednesday, September 9, 2026, 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. [Register]
Note: Back-end users were sent direct emails inviting them to specialized training and are not required to attend the above sessions.
