New Gemini Updates – Managing Chats and Engaging with Gemini Live
The Office of OneIT is excited to share the latest updates for Google Gemini, designed to give you more control over your experience and new ways to interact with AI.
Sharing Your Gemini Conversations
You now have the ability to easily share your Gemini conversations with others. This feature allows you to:
- Share via Google Drive: Share a chat via Google Drive by adding people or groups. You will be prompted to Connect to Google Drive. Shared chats are saved in your Google My Drive in a folder called Gemini Archives and are protected by Drive permissions.
- Collaborate Effortlessly: Allow colleagues to view and build upon your interactions, streamlining communication and idea sharing
Introducing Gemini Live
We are also highlighting Gemini Live, now available via the Gemini side panel in Chrome. This feature enables natural, two-way voice conversations with AI, making it ideal for hands-free brainstorming.
Unlike the standard microphone speech-to-text feature—which works like a walkie-talkie—Gemini Live functions like a fluid phone call. For a detailed comparison, see this FAQ.
When logged in with your @charlotte.edu account, your Gemini Live sessions are data-protected and will appear in your chat history.
