In one sentence – what does your job entail?
I design and lead learning modules for technology initiatives as well as support university faculty, staff, and students effectively use available technology applications.
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
Watch, listen, and be confident to share your ideas. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes; they are how you learn. When training adults, it’s ok to have fun and find unique ways to engage the learners.
What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
As a former K-12 educator, I have always maintained a strong interest in technology. My current role is an ideal combination of these two passions: technology and education.
What is something that might surprise us about you?
My family and I have a goal to see all 50 states before my youngest graduates. We are almost half-way and are planning a trip to the mid-west. I am most looking forward to our Alaskan cruise next year!
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Professionally, I am most proud of earning my Master’s Degree in December 2025 and starting a new career. On a personal level, I take pride in being the mother of two wonderful children.
What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
My favorite activity is reading a book or playing a card game with my family by a campfire.
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
I try to read or play with my dogs in the backyard.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I have always wanted to become fluent in a new language. I took beginner French years ago but did not pursue it further, and I would love to strengthen my conversational skills.
