In one sentence – what does your job entail?
I support Business Affairs – Facilities Management users with applications, systems access, hardware, and training, working directly with clients both in person and remotely as part of the OneIT – Facilities Information Systems team.
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
Ask lots of questions and listen carefully. Over time, I have learned that technology and tools are always changing, so staying adaptable and embracing new solutions is just as important as understanding the work itself.
What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
I have always been inspired by the people aspect of the work. Living and traveling in diverse places has strengthened my ability to connect with clients, understand different perspectives, and help bridge business goals and technical solutions.
What is something that might surprise us about you?
Something that might surprise people is that I have lived in several places, including Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alaska, and the Philippines, and have traveled throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and Central America. Those experiences helped me adapt quickly, communicate with diverse groups, and see problems from different perspectives.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Most recently completing my Six Sigma Black Belt. It was a lot of extra personal time since my work hours are busy.
What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
I enjoy working out at the gym after work. It helps me relax, clear my mind, and recharge.
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
When I have 30 minutes of free time, I like to go for a walk or read.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I have always wanted to become fluent in a new language. I took beginner French years ago but did not pursue it further, and I would love to strengthen my conversational skills.
