Upgrade to the latest OS by March 24

About the spring 2021 OS upgrades:

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 24, faculty and staff are encouraged to take an hour to upgrade University computers manually:

Upgrade to Windows 10, version 20H2

Upgrade to macOS Big Sur

Before you begin, plan for one hour of downtime and plug in your computer. During upgrades, DO NOT close your laptop screen.

AUTO UPGRADES

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, OS updates will be automatically applied to University devices*. Following the automatic upgrade, computers may restart and continue to update following the first login. If you require an exception to this upgrade, please submit an exception request found on the Guideline for Security of Endpoints.

*Many College of Engineering devices do not apply.
