OneIT Service Desk Lead In one sentence – what does your job entail? Supporting and managing student technical assistants, and supporting the day to day operations of the OneIT Service Desk.

What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

An early love of technology! Playing with computers as a kid trying to eke out a bit more memory to run a game or trying to upgrade the machine to make it run faster sparked a love of technology.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?

Ask questions and be forever curious!

What is something that might surprise us about you?

I earned my Private Pilot’s license when I was in college and flew Cessna 172’s for fun.

What accomplishments are you most proud of? I restored a 1979 San Juan 21 sailboat that had been abandoned. Pretty proud of how it turned out.

What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

Hanging out with family and sailing on Lake Norman!

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

Reading news on science, technology, and the world around me to learn something new I didn’t know before.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I would love to be a master-level woodworker.
