Microsoft Copilot with Data Protection

Microsoft Copilot with Data Protection is a more secure, campus-wide alternative to consumer-oriented generative AI services, including the consumer version of Copilot. If you are using other generative AI tools, consider switching to Microsoft Copilot because of the data protection it offers.

With Copilot you can:

  • Find relevant information with links to resources
  • Summarize web pages and pdfs
  • Generate summaries, outlines, bullet points, or captions
  • Suggest alternative ideas 
  • Create images

Copilot with data protection works with all major browsers including Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari and has a mobile app. 

Logging in

You can sign into Microsoft Copilot with data protection with your @Charlotte.edu account. You know you are using the right tool when you see the Data protection symbol by your login credentials (see green shield above).
