Welcome to the Fall 2025 Semester!

As we kick off a the Fall 2025 semester, OneIT is here to ensure you have a smooth and successful start. Here are some important updates, helpful resources, and exciting new tools to support you:
Faculty
- Learning Space Technology (LST): UNC Charlotte’s Learning Space Technology (LST) team strongly encourages faculty to visit and familiarize themselves with the newly updated AV equipment in registrar-controlled classrooms across campus. Taking the time to proactively review the new setups will help build confidence and minimize technical issues during the first week of the semester. Please contact the LST Classroom Support Team with any issues, training, and direct consultations to assist you with your classroom technology needs. Learn more about these recent changes
- Classroom podium software: This software was updated over the summer. To prevent delays, please login to classroom podiums before the start of the semester and familiarize yourselves with the software updates. Please contact Classroom Support with any questions or concerns.
- New Dell Experience in Teaching Labs: The computers in teaching labs were converted over the summer to the new Dell experience (not the lab podium). Students will need to login with their full email address (username@charlotte.edu).
- Faculty Resources: Visit the Get Started Faculty Page for our OneIT Orientation, free software, and much more!

Artificial Intelligence
- AI at Charlotte: Visit ai.charlotte.edu for dedicated pages for faculty, staff, and students, plus the latest AI news and updates.
- AI Software: Not sure whether or not the software you want to use is “approved”? This list provides guidance on using campus-wide, specialized, and popular AI software with university data. If a department or individual wants to use free or premium specialized software, the Software & IT-Related Request Form must be submitted even if the software already appears on the list.
