Beth Rugg
Beth Rugg is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Client Engagement at UNC Charlotte. In this capacity, she oversees enterprise user services, including the Service Desk, desktop support, endpoint management, training, documentation, and communication. Beth is a Cornell University graduate and an accomplished project manager with an extensive IT portfolio.
Beyond her current responsibilities, Beth has significant experience in lab management, instructional support and design, digital media production, technology acquisition, and vendor management. She actively contributes to the community, having served as an Executive Board member of the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group for University and College Computing Services (ACM SIGUCCS). Her dedication to professional development earned her the ACM-SIGUCCS 2023 Penny Crane Award for distinguished service. Beth collaborates with Educause and is a faculty member for the Executive Leadership Academy and the Senior Director programs. She has also worked as a mentor and on various committees and working groups.
Beth’s approach centers on designing simple solutions for complex challenges. She is deeply committed to stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and effective organizational design
