Required Mac Updates: Mac OS Sequoia & JAMF

Keeping your university-issued Mac up-to-date is essential for both security and productivity at UNC Charlotte. MacOS Sequoia offers significant improvements that will enhance your Mac experience, including intelligent new features and a more streamlined workflow. Upgrading to Sequoia ensures you have the latest tools and security protections for your university device.
We’re also updating JAMF, the system UNC Charlotte uses to manage university-owned Macs. This update is a key part of the ongoing charlotte.edu rebranding and is necessary for maintaining access to university resources.
Updating both macOS to Sequoia and JAMF will keep your Mac secure, compatible, and performing optimally on the university network. Please see the schedule below for upgrade information. We encourage you to do the upgrades at your convenience so that your work is not interrupted. Once the upgrade becomes required, users will be prompted daily to install the update.
