In one sentence – what does your job entail?

Supporting the specialized IT needs within CLAS. What inspired you to pursue the career you have today? My parents buying me an Apple II instead of an Atari started my love of technology. The many people and exciting projects along the way inspired me.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?

The only constant is change, evolving is a must. Be kind to others, and build a diverse group of friends in your field.

What is something that might surprise us about you?

I was offered a graduate assistantship to pursue a masters in Econometrics. I did not pursue it since I did not see myself living near a banking/finance hub. I now enjoy living in the Charlotte metro area.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

My family, completing my masters degree, running a marathon.

What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

My favorite indoor activities are time with family and maker projects. Outdoors I enjoy hiking,mountain biking, snorkeling and camping.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

Hanging out with my two sons.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Speak Spanish fluently.
