Assistant Vice Chancellor for Planning and Projects

In one sentence – what does your job entail?

My job entails working with partners across OneIT and the University to help identify and track our project work so that we can be sure that we’re doing the right work at the right time. What inspired you to pursue the career you have today? I have always loved making order out of chaos, so I was drawn to project management. I really enjoy working in higher education – it’s an opportunity to make a difference.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?

Be open to learning new things and experiences. You never know where you may find yourself!

What is something that might surprise us about you?

At one point in my life, I lived next door to Richard Jewell, the accused bomber of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of raising two smart and energetic daughters, while balancing work and life.

What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

Going for a leisurely run.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

Ideally, I’d sit outside on a beautiful day with a book in hand.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I would love to advance my amateur photography skills.
